i've become an aspiring anime critic! NOT! 3

Highschool of the Dead

Occult Academy

Highschool of the Dead and Occult Academy episode 1 were not half bad. Gonna write more about these two later on (when i have time to spare. ahahas).

so here i am now, with a bit of time to spare to deliver what i promised. now these two animes are now at episode 4. i should understand the storyline by now right?

okay first off, highschool of the dead. this anime have a lot to offer. action, romance, gore, fanservice (it never hurts every once in a while. hehe), and like every other anime, some humor. i love the action and gore in this anime. lots of blood, lots of bashing, lots of biting and for now, 1 gunshot. the fight scenes are really engaging i can say. it's only episode 4, i already can see the development building up in a good pace. mind you i haven't read the manga so i don't know the story at all. i didn't even read the manga review for this. so i'm really crossing my fingers as i see a good potential in this series. the protagonists found survivors at their school including one probable antagonist and they moved to the city. lets see how this story builds up. i don't wanna touch the romance side of this story, animes tend to leave the relationship status of its characters "hanged". about fanservice, not excessive, just the right amount in my opinion (i'm not really a big fan of fanservice or ecchi anime). so all in all, for the moment this anime is at ✰.

up next is Occult Academy. i like to think this anime as the lighter side of highschool of the dead. it's less intense whereby there are far less gore and fanservice but it's not a negative thing, as this anime is rich in humor and the animation is really done well. the fight scenes is more or less at par as HSotD. the pace of this anime is quite slow, i can't really see where the story leads but it is interesting. the protagonist is from the future trying to find a "key" in the past to stop the destruction of earth with a cameraphone. yes, a cameraphone. and again, i won't touch the romance side of this anime. overall for me, ✰.

Black Lagoon is back! There will be 5 OVA episodes and the first episode was pure awesomeness. The OVA's are titled as Black Lagoon: Roberta's Blood Trail. The animation is great, as always. The fighting scenes, or rather the shooting scenes are incredible. Simply awesome, there's no need to say much about this anime. I highly recommend watching this! ★★★★★

cheers!

so i was right then? ahahas

Jack Daniel's a Tennessee Whiskey, not a Bourbon. weeks ago i had this conversation with my senior, he said that JD's a bourbon, which i obviously disagreed but unfortunately can't really prove what i was trying to say. i have read the difference between a bourbon and tennessee whiskey before but i couldn't recall the facts and so now here i am after a few readings can finally confirm that JD is not a bourbon. the label on the menu in the club is just inaccurate. lets call a tennessee whiskey a tennessee whiskey and a kentucky bourbon a kentucky bourbon and leave it at that shall we?

cheers and drink responsibly!

who are you people actually? and etc. ahahas

okay. here's the thing, i can't read nor speak chinese. i appreciate those comments you guys gave me but i can't really comprehend what you were saying without the help of google translator and you can't really trust the translations given by the site which means, i can only guess what you guys are trying to say. don't take this the wrong way, like i said before, i appreciate your comments. it would really help if you guys comment me in the same language i'm using. =)

so enough about that. now i'm in my second month of industrial training and i was assigned in Magellan Club on 17th june (or was it 19th june? too lazy to check. ahahas). the club lounge work is quite enjoyable. once we're busy, we're BUSY. once we're free, we're FREE. just recently, on the 29th june to be exact, i got the chance to meet Malaysia's Prime Minister Dato' Sri Mohd. Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak. he was here in kota kinabalu to officiate a tilawah al quran event. that day was HECTIC. other big names in the world of politics was there too.

tomorrow (actually it's today now) is my long awaited day, my day off. supposed to meet up with some friends to go to a reception but i'm afraid i can't make it due to some chores i have to finish. and i decided that i will go to the sunset mass. what a decision. ahahas. you know it has been a while since i last step my foot in church. pray for me will you? so that i will go to the mass. ehehe.

another story, the south africa world cup. i say i'm a neutral but i guess i'm not. i'm a bit down cuz brazil was knocked out 2 to 1 by netherlands. deep down in my heart i was rooting for brazil. ahaha. on a lighter note, a friend of mine said if netherlands wins the world cup, marijuana will probably be legalized throughout the world. i'm not sure if he's hoping for it or he's just saying that it's impossible for netherlands to win the cup.

oh before i forgot, a few days ago i watched crank and crank: high voltage. they were awesome though i do like the first one better. looking for a fast paced movie with non stop action topped with clever lines? these movies will surely entertain you like i've been highly entertained by them but i must say the director overdid some things to the second. still, enjoyable.

i'm out of things to say
cheers!
